Littleton Rotary Club - International Projects
Littleton Rotary club is pleased to support The Rotary Club of Song, District #3360 RI Thailand.
District #3360 hosted an English Camp in January, 2008. 200 students attended this camp. They were 11 - 13 years old, elementary level.
The Littleton Rotary Club donated $600 to be used to purchase 200 dictionaries! The camp needs the dictionaries for learning English and some students are so poor, they do not have one, or the ability to buy one.

Water in the Bais City, Philippines
The Littleton Rotary Club donated funds to help drill 2 water wells for a housing project in Bais City, Philippines.
( Phil Peso: 98,000). The local club decided to continue with the well drilling project water is still a big problem in Bais City.
The 1st well they decided to drill was for a low-cost housing project for the poorest of the poor, duly provided by the Gawad Kalinga housing project. Gawad Kalinga ( means Give Help) works similar to the Pres. Jimmy Carter, Habitat for Humanity. Each house costs about US$1,355 or P65,000.00 and the labor component is provided by volunteers. The Gawad Kalinga or GK for short is closely coordinating with a religious organization: Couples for Christ and there are also many individuals who provide their free hand in the construction of the house. The expense usually will be the buying of the materials. The land in this case is provided by the City government of Bais City and the development of the site is by the National Housing Authority.
Our Club in joint project with the Rotary Club of Littleton, New Hampshire, in cooperation with the GK, Couples for Christ, the City Government of Bais City and the Couples for Christ, South California Chapter, working together in this housing project.
